How Much Electricity Does a Fan, Cooler, or AC Consume?

Estimate fan, cooler and AC electricity use with a simple kWh formula and practical ways to reduce consumption.

The simple formula is: units used (kWh) = watts ÷ 1000 × hours used. Multiply the result by your electricity rate to estimate running cost.
